Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
NOTA is a personal productivity app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how your data is handled.
Information We Collect
NOTA collects the information you provide directly: your display name, email address, tasks, notes, habits, calendar events, and financial transactions. We do not collect payment information — subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to provide NOTA's features: syncing your tasks across devices, generating AI-powered suggestions through Claude, and sending push notifications you opt into. We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers.
AI Features
When you use the NOTA AI Chat, your current context (tasks, habits, recent notes) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. Anthropic's privacy policy governs this data. We do not store AI conversation history on our servers beyond your session.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS infrastructure. All connections are encrypted via TLS. Row-level security ensures only you can access your data.
Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, your device token is stored to deliver reminders for tasks, habits, and daily briefings. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or in NOTA's notification settings.
Your Rights
You can export all your data as CSV at any time from Settings → Data & Export. From the same screen you can permanently delete all your data, or delete your entire account — this immediately and irreversibly erases your profile and everything associated with it. See Delete Account for step-by-step instructions.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
